You have already learnt that Compassion is the root and foundation for love. And now, it’s the time to learn that a compassionate heart and an ego-centric mind can never accommodate within a single person. Either you need to choose a compassionate heart and life full of love or an ego mind with a life full of worry and frustration.
Ego is not the desire to be the best. Ego is considering yourself as the best cum superior and no one else.
The ego won’t allow you to accept the greatness in others and assumes that you already know everything. Thereby prohibiting your growth and learning process. The ego always causes self-destruction even before harming others.
But being down to earth with a compassionate heart allows you to admire and appreciate the greatness in others and learn from them. If you are willing enough you can learn from anyone, whether the person is a 5-year-old child, an illiterate or a successful individual doesn’t matter. But for that to happen first you must accept that the other person knows something that you don’t know.
Remember, your value never gets down by accepting this, it makes it easier for you to switch into “ready to learn” mode. Thereby you keep gaining much more knowledge and you keep attracting abundance into your life.
