Sweet Struggle_ no more sweet! (Part-II)

Few months later, on a fine day…

Sanvi and Indu (Sanvi’s friend) get into a restaurant which is situated away from the city’s buzz. Sanvi is busy with browsing her mobile while Indu looks for a table to occupy.

“Sanvi, look there… Is that Krish?” Indu calls her on finding Krish and Dev(Krish’s friend) in the same restaurant.

“Yes…” Sanvi looks up to him and gives a pleasing smile.

“Such a coincidence. We all can have lunch together. Come.” Indu calls.

“No… no… aaj kal ise satane ka mouka nahi mila (I didn’t get a chance to irritate him all these days). Let me have some fun.” Sanvi says and calls him over the phone.

“Hello! Krish, I am very hungry—”

“Why do you keep calling me for all the little things? Do you think that I don’t have any other business?” He responds harshly and quits the call.

“Why is he overreacting this much? Aaj tumhe chodungi nahi (I won’t spare you, today).” She thinks and moves towards him.

“Krish… for how many days you keep avoiding her? There needs to be an end.” Dev questions. Sanvi stops just behind them hearing Dev.

“What shall I do? Day by day it is becoming an obsession. I can’t open up to her and at the same time I can’t continue with the same drama anymore to keep her comfortable.”

“Krish, she doesn’t even know that you love her—”

“I don’t wanna care. I do have my family, my friends, my career and my own life. I would like to shift my focus onto something productive.”

“Krish—”

“Damn it. Why don’t you discuss something else? Disgusting… I need some peace of mind, Dev.” Krish holds his head with annoyance.

By overhearing their conversation, Sanvi comes to know the truth that she is unaware of till that minute. She leaves from there without giving him a sign of her presence over there. Indu follows her expecting the worst.

“He is your best friend, Sanvi. Who can understand him better than you?” Indu tries to explain her.

“Do you even know from how many days he has been avoiding me like this?” Sanvi questions back.

“He is avoiding you, not because he doesn’t care you, it’s because he loves you so much.”

“I am not interested in knowing what’s there for us in future. But the fact is our friendship is lost.”

“Listen, don’t make—”

“Leave me alone.” Sanvi walks away.

The day on which you realize that a blissful friendship has turned into nothing more than a disturbance for the other one, you can feel the true heartache inside. Love hurts, really hurts so much when it takes away the existing friendship.” She thinks on her way.

Indu immediately gets back to Krish and lets him know the current situation. He dashes out of the restaurant and looks for Saanvi. He runs behind her and holds her hand.

“Sanvi, listen. You shouldn’t have known this in this way. Let me explain…”

“Not required. It is not required for you anymore to bear with any kind of disturbance.”

“Sanvi—”

“Stop there… I have never thought that you could become this much selfish in my case.”

“Sanvi—”

I am severing all the ties with you, Krish!! You did whatever you would like to without minding my emotions. I too don’t wanna care about your emotions anymore. Never show your face again.” She takes her hand from him and leaves from there.

He is left with a blank mind and a broken heart not knowing what to do to control the tears on the edges of his eyes.

“Krish, will speak to her later. She is not in a position to understand you now.” Dev consoles him.

“It’s over Dev. All these days I haven’t avoided her, I have avoided this situation. It’s okay if she doesn’t love me, but I don’t want her to hate me. Finally, I have faced my demon from which I am running all these days.

“Krish—”

“Dev, I may not be able to drop you. I need a solo ride. Bye.” He turns away from Dev, takes a long breath and rides away on his bike.

Sanvi gets back to her room, shuts the door and cries like a hell reminding each and every incident where he has avoided her intentionally by giving stupid excuses. She has taken his ignorance positively most of the times. But now, her heart has been torn by realizing herself as a disturbance.

~~~~~~~
After a few days…
Indu lashes out at Sanvi immediately after getting back to the room.
“Sanvi, where have you lost? Why are you not answering any calls?”
“Sorry, my phone is in silent mode. What happened? Anything serious?” Sanvi replies calmly.
“You have ordered something online. Who is going to collect that? Do you know how many times that delivery boy has called you?”
“Oh shit! I will—”
“Relax, I paid him and collected your order. Check it.” Says Indu.
“Okay, thanks.” Sanvi acknowledges.
Indu gets into her weekend hustle and bustle. Sanvi walks out of her room towards the terrace garden. As soon as she reaches the edge of the terrace, she fails to resist her pain flowing out of her eyes which haven’t caught Krish in the meantime. Her inner voice speaks to him out of rage…
“Why?
Why am I unable to get out of your thoughts despite the efforts that I am putting in?
Why only you come to my mind whenever my phone rings and a notification pops up?
Why does the world appear to be still without you?
I am the one who have severed all the ties with you. I have valid reasons for that. But why is it so hard for me to stand on my own decision?
When did you become so important in my life without my notice?
How am I connected with you to this extent that nothing remains in my control?
I know that we both share a strong emotional bond, but I am experiencing its strength now.
Have you decided to avoid me and stay away than speaking out the truth?
Am I scaring you?
What if you have told me? Do I accept?
Why is love in friendship this much complicated?
Why is your absence piercing my heart into pieces?
What am I waiting for in this darkness? And why?
Why?”
She has no answers to her questions; he has no destination to his ride! Will see what’s going to be the destiny of this story.
