Self-love teaches you how to treat yourself, how to behave with yourself. Once you learn this, by default you also learn how to treat others and how to behave with others.
Pay attention to your behavior, if you are harsh on others, it actually means you are harsh and tough on yourself. If you are humble with others, it means you are gentle with yourself. If you find people harsh towards you, it means you are sensitive.
We are habituated to judge others but never study ourselves. The way you speak, the way you behave and the way you perceive things to be, speak a lot about yourself, not others. Your assumptions about others may or may not sync with their reality. But they reflect your state of being accurately.
That’s why learn to respect everyone, every human being. No one should feel low because of you and the way you treat them. If you make them feel low about themselves, it damages their self-confidence, their faith in the universe gets disturbed and it affects their self-esteem. By doing so you owe a lot to them. And your karma returns to you in some or other form.
We have already discussed the importance of having faith in the universe, high self-esteem and self-confidence. So, don’t cause such a loss to others. Respect every human being as you respect yourself.
